Pricing questions
What those numbers mean.
What do the "from" rates include?+
The "from" rate is the starting price for a standard appointment. Grooming "from" rates include the hydrobath, blow-dry, brush-out, nail trim and a breed-appropriate tidy. Boarding and daycare "from" rates include all walks, meals, play and photo updates listed on the card. Anything outside the standard scope — de-matting, hand-stripping, medication administration, special dietary prep, or very large breeds — is quoted before we start.
How do add-ons work?+
Add-ons are optional extras you can request when you book or on arrival. Common grooming add-ons include teeth brushing, paw balm and de-shedding treatments. Boarding add-ons include extra walks, one-on-one training refreshers, and pick-up/drop-off chauffeur service within the greater Noordhoek area. We'll confirm the total before any work begins.
What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?+
Daycare and grooming can be rescheduled or cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before the appointment. Boarding cancellations made more than 7 days before check-in receive a full refund. Cancellations 3–7 days before check-in receive a 50% refund. Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable, but the value can be transferred to a future stay within 3 months.
Are there discounts for multiple dogs or long stays?+
Yes. Boarding stays longer than 5 nights receive a discounted nightly rate. Daycare packs of 5 or 10 days also come with a lower per-day price. If you have two or more dogs from the same household staying together, ask us about our multi-dog family rate when you book.

Tucked into the mountainside, minutes from the sea.
South Paws started the way most good things do — with a dog who needed somewhere kind to stay. Today, we look after a small, hand-picked guest list of pups from Capri and the greater Cape Town area.
No rows of dog kennels. No anxious echoes. Just sunlit rooms, a fenced garden, daily walks on the mountain or down to Long Beach, and people who actually know your dog's name (and which side they like to be scratched).

Everything you need to know.
How much do your services cost?+
Daycare is R250 per day, boarding is R300- 450 per night, and full grooming is R320- 450 per session depending on breed and coat condition. We offer multi-day discounts for stays longer than 5 nights — just ask when you book.
How far in advance should I book?+
For daycare, a day or two is usually fine. For boarding, especially over long weekends and December holidays, we recommend booking 3–4 weeks ahead. We keep our numbers intentionally small, so peak dates fill up fast.
What are the drop-off and pick-up times?+
Drop-off is between 8am and 10am; pick-up is between 4pm and 6pm. If you need an earlier drop-off or later collection, let us know — we are usually able to accommodate with a little notice.
What does a typical boarding day look like?+
Mornings start with breakfast and a walk on the mountain or down to the beach. The middle of the day is for naps, garden play, and plenty of attention. Afternoons bring another outing, dinner, and a calm evening on the couch before bedtime. We send daily photo updates so you never feel too far away.
Will my dog be around other dogs?+
Only if they want to be. We assess every dog's temperament during a short meet-and-greet before their first stay. Sociable pups join supervised group play; more reserved dogs get one-on-one time and quieter spaces. We never force interaction.
What should I bring?+
Just their food, any medication, and a familiar bed or toy if it helps them settle. We provide bowls, treats, leashes, and plenty of blankets. If your dog is on a raw or special diet, bring enough for their stay plus a little extra.
